Long time no post fam! Work and zine artwork has me occupied to the MAX and the only reason I can squeeze this in is cuz we got a deadline extension🤣 the quality for the zine is going through the roof though so I am MUCH excited to share!!
Anywho, the recent season 2 of KNY heavily inspired my artistic soul and I couldn’t resist a anime styled damirae 🥰 I tried my best to stay true to the anime details haha I am chock-full of hc’s on this one, ooooh boi the ideas just flow!

Damian al Ghul was only a small boy when he found out his esteemed grandfather was an Oni, the “head” of a demon cult that offered hollow promises of eternal life to the fickle minded humans. How could he have known - it was true his grandfather never “aged” and the ritual for eternal life was knowingly not fool-proof. Running away, he endures years of harsh self-imposed training in the mountains. After passing the Final Selection and surviving a fateful battle with his grandfather, one Hashira, the Water Piller by the name Richard, takes him in to train as a tsuguko. Doomed with Richard’s untimely death by the hands of Upper Moon One on the day he becomes the Sand Pillar (his unique breathing form: derived from stone breathing) - Damian swears revenge on the clan of New Upper Moons, no matter what it takes.
Raven joined the Demon Slayer Corps much later than Damian as the Shadow Pillar (her unique breathing form: derived from ?) She was a special recruit by Oyakata-sama, which to Damian sounded like a lame excuse, as she does not seem to have gone through the Selection like everyone else. As if that wasn’t enough, he gets paired with her as a mission duo, much to his and her dismay. It was shameful at first - did Oyakata-sama see him as “lacking” on the solo front? He was the youngest man in history to ever earn the Pillar title for god’s sakes! However, it strikes him (literally) on a very rare solar eclipse - when they get attacked by her father, Upper Moon One.
